Life On Hudson Street: Berry Pickin Fun

Well hello everyone! This is our first official blog post EEEKKK, so please bear with us just a bit while we figure this whole blog thing out...we can totally do this together! To give y'all just a little back info about who in the heck we are, we are a super tight-knit family that likes to do just about everything together...including starting a business! We own a mom and daughter run gift and baby brand and go to work everyday with our 5 kiddos ranging from 10 years-11 months! You will get to know all about them, because of course, our world revolves around them! As much as they love to work with us (insert eye roll)...they need breaks, and we need them just as much! You will often find us trying to find fun ways to entertain our littles! Trying to entertain all of our kids at the same time is no easy task, BUT every now and then we hit the nail on the head! Thunderbird Farms and the topic of our first post did exactly that!!!

Blueberry picking or bust!!! We drove to this adorable farm in Broken Arrow, OK, grabbed some buckets and got to picking! Being former teachers, the science lessons we got to teach during our picking adventure got me a little giddy! Once a teacher, always a teacher, right!?

The kids absolutely loved it! Literally every.single.one! They were SO proud of how many they picked, they were tasting as they went to see which colors they liked best (don't worry, they told us we could) and were grinning from ear to ear the entire time!

They were pointing to each other where the good berries were, and the 2 year old of our crew even figured out how to find the dark purple ones! (ahem...teaching lesson, see) We figured out pretty quick that we liked those best!

If you have a berry picking farm in your area of any kind, we highly recommend it! We will have to share what we made with them in a future post (it was delish)....we ended up with a TON of berries!
